To be very sad about saying goodbye to my cooker...

There is the possibility that we may be able to move to a new house which on the whole is a good thing because our current one is diabolical. Damp and drafts everywhere, everything is old and sooo difficult to keep clean, shit area, no garden front or back, shit schools.

The new house is much smaller and only has 2 bedroom (current one is 3) but hopefully by the time we have more children than can fit in it we will be able to buy our own house. It is in a much nicer area, much newer house, has a garage and a great big back garden, good schools. There are trees lining the roads not drunks in upturned wheely bins.

But...the new house has an integrated gas cooker which can't be removed without re-doing the kitchen.

I only bought my new shiney electric double oven in July. I spent £400 on it and made sure I got one with everything I wanted. I don't feel like I can part with it just yet...it has a little digital clock, is fan assisted so can cook huge jacket potatoes in under an hour and it's sooooo easy to clean because there aren't any gas rings. I really love it (which is funny because DH is the better cook, but it's so pretty). It's the best cooker ever.

DH said we can wrap it up nice and safe and keep it in the garage until we move somewhere else but then I won't know when I'll see it again :( The only other option is selling it but I don't want to let it go for less than I paid because it's practically brand new. Plus the new owner wouldn't love it as much as I do so it will probably go into the garage. At least then I can go and see it whenever I want and tell it how useful it will be when we have our own house :o

Sigh...I'm off now to spend some quality time with my cooker while I still can....

aaaaw funny isnt it how we get attached to possessions, storing it seems the best bet. YOu wouldnt make what you paid for it probably only half.
