expecting my DH to get up in the night to see to the kids

expecting my DH to get up in the night to see too the kids even though he goes to work and I dont work other than house work and looking after the kids.

YANBU. Night wakings were shared with DP, but then DS would wake 3-4 times a night and I would have been an empty shell of a crazy person if he'd not shared the responsibility.

(but I think you will get lots of differing opinions on this)

Depends how many kids you've got, really, and what your typical days are like.

If you get a chance to rest during the day, ie nap when the baby naps, or lie on the sofa while the child/ren bumble about playing under a watchful eye, then YABALBU.

However, if you've got a houseful and really can't rest during the day any more than your DH can, then YANBU.

... as PM says, it also depends on how many times/for how long you're up in the night. If it's a lot, then he should take a turn.

I don't think it's black and white though; it depends hugely on circumstances.
