He has a history of starting and stopping diets. The latest one is the Maple Syrup Diet - one jug of syrup, one of lemon juice = all your calorie intake for 14 days for £38.

It seems batshit insane to me, particularly as we all know there's no such thing as a sustainable crash diet, and that detox is bullshit.

Eating disorder?

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 06/01/2011 16:28

sounds worrying actually.

Urgh!! I've gone through my fair share of strange eating habits (years ago) but could not imagine anything as awful as that. Won't do his teeth any good either.

madness!

I think Beyonce did something like this when she was starring in the film Dreamgirls. She lost a lot of weight very quickly if the magazines are to be believed (she was certainly very thin in the film) but obviously put most (if not all) back on again afterwards.

I wouldn't worry to be honest, unless you seriously suspect an ED or if he becomes worryingly thin or has a change in personality. I imagine that lots of people start similar unrealistic 'diets' in January, but most don't stick it out.
