DD's best mates friends parents so not exactly my mates. They are on my FB as that seems to be the easiest way to communicate for them.

She gave up work 3 years ago as a lunchtime supervisor when her mum was diagnosed with Alziemers to become her full time registered carer even though she went into a home shortly after.

Her husband was then made redundant shortly after and she said they were better off on her carers allowance and him doing odd jobs cash in hand and claiming whatever they are entitled to claim.

This eve when I looked at my FB her and he and their 11 Yr old daughter who all seem to spend the entire eve updating their FB status till 11am Hmm on separate computers have just been constantly been slagging off the guy on Britains fattest man and how money he is costing the tax payer....of which they aren't.

WTF?

charliesmommy · 05/01/2011 23:37

McHobbes · 05/01/2011 23:39

Oh mind your own bloody business woman!
Keep your beak out and don't worry about it.

You know nothing of this family but for facebook. Don't be stupid.

Quint Sad.

My own fil is becoming v vague and disorientated,I spend a lot of my day checking on him (phone calls) or he comes to mine,I do his washing and his cooking so i know he is clean and smart and well fed,he might spend all day in mine drinking tea watching old films and remembering about his old days.

I help him with his memory we plan a shopping list - if he goes out I know where he is most of the time because everyone knows to ring me when they see him.

I take him shopping to the doctors to the hospital.

He told me im the best friend hes ever had.

I am his carer (unpaid) because this fine old gentleman is too proud to admit hes finding things a bit harder.

somedays hes totally with it other days not so.

I dont begrudge any carer a single penny.

McHobbes · 05/01/2011 23:41

Hello!! Grin

SerendipitousHarlot · 05/01/2011 23:41

Blimey. Why do you have so much contact with this family if they so obviously get right on your tits?

What's any of it to do with you? Just sounds like they're making the best of some shit they're going through, tbh - and you sound a bit petty and small-minded. Sorry.

nickschick · 05/01/2011 23:41

Boyf watched it, and was telling me about it on the phone a while back - I had seen the trailer and thought that the protrusion between his legs was one gigantic testicle. Apparently it was part of his leg 3)

McHobbes · 05/01/2011 23:44

I didn't watch it....I can't look at the very very fat people directly.

SerendipitousHarlot · 05/01/2011 23:45

Actually LOL'd then hobbes Grin I could imagine you saying the words.

giggly · 05/01/2011 23:49

you know what twinkle I am with you when idiots start moaning about others costing the tax payer. Are we not all(mostly)claiming something? child benefit/ tax credits at the least?

Stand back from FB its all crap anyway.

twinkletweeter · 05/01/2011 23:50

I don't not sympathise with what her mum us going through.

I see her regulary and my DD is good mates with hers and it's difficult to get away from her she is a very chatty open person and her husband was made redundant not long after her mum was diagnosed about a yr ago.

I just wonder how they can slag someone else off for taking from the social fund that's all.

If she is claiming carers allowance when she is not a carer and if her husband is working cash in hand while claiming benefits, then yes, it is hypocritical of them to complain about taxpayers' money being wasted on a fat man.

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 05/01/2011 23:56

a year ago? you said in your OP 3yrs Confused
