I think it may possibly be my favourite Christmas present of all time.

Hey fellow uke lovers! I also got a ukulele for Christmas - it's a lovely kitsch turquoise one with tropical fruit on it . It's just so lovely I sometimes get it out just to stroke it.

So far I can do a mean rendition of "when the saints go marching in" and am currently working on being able to play sweet child o' mine . Can I join the MN virtual ukulele band???

You're making much better progress than me. Are you having lessons or teaching yourself from a book or t'interweb? And your ukulele is groovier than mine, which is very sensible woody-looking wood.

I got a DVD with my ukulele which got me started, I've found a great website here with lots of good stuff too
