I read this in The Times this morning, and it has made me question some of my relationships with other women.

AIBU to think it is true?

here's the link www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/life/relationships/article2862724.ece

Ahh but Sarah that's the thing isn't it? We tend to think of bitching as groups of women on coffee mornings, nights out or huddled round the school gates...but bitching takes many forms, that's what makes me think that on a far lesser scale anyway it's basically human nature.

What one person sees as bitching, another will see as a 'genuine gripe'...much the same as some of the threads on here.

FFS I typed genuine 'grope' there...thank feck I re-read Blush

I often perceive something as a genuine grope but often it's just itching Wink

gender stereotypes are not useful.some folk are gits some are not men and women both enrich lifes and have great qualities.

makes me sad to see genders reduced and stereotyped

I thought what the writer was suggesting was deeper than gossiping alone. I've witnessed some of my own circle of friends doing monstrous things to each other like letting another friend down - on her birthday! With not that much of a valid excuse either. Not answering phone calls. Avoiding eachother to the point it drives the other to paranoia ....and then suddenly everything's ok again because they meet up to watch Eat Pray Love together!!! Seems like little things at the time, but then when you hear it from the other friend's point of view...... Shock
