To be chocked

I am an employer of a nanny and I am really scared to think she could talk about me that way

lavienreve.over-blog.com/article-les-awards-des-parents-qui-font-peur-64206577.html

IS she allowed to tell those things? It's not minbe but I would be really upset if I discover one day that a nanny reveal things I've said or done on internet

OP posts:
GypsyMoth · 04/01/2011 20:04

it happens!!

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 04/01/2011 20:08

Has it been pulled? I got a "missing" notice.

(But I don't think my French would be up to it anyway. Grin)

RiceBurner · 04/01/2011 21:23

I thought it was very funny, (the link is still there, just need to edit out/remove a couple of inadvertant gaps/spaces), and she did it without giving any names/too much info, so where's the harm in it?

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 04/01/2011 21:46

Ah, thanks, got it now, and I'm right, my French isn't up to it. Blush

FabbyChic · 04/01/2011 21:47

You need to get your nanny to sign a confidentiality agreement.

backwardpossom · 04/01/2011 21:50

link here

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 04/01/2011 21:51

However, google translator gave me a fair idea. :) Looks like a fairly standard anonymous moan about work, aren't nannies allowed to do that, then?

lifeinagoldfishbowl · 04/01/2011 21:53

So are you MrsW? Grin

gallicgirl · 04/01/2011 21:56

Grin The mothers sound worse than the fathers but it's all harmless and there's no way of identifying employers.

I liked the one about the mother who wanted to pass the baby through the window at nursery as it was quicker.

Cataline · 04/01/2011 21:58

That's hilarious!!!

tethersend · 04/01/2011 22:00

Who posts a link to a French website? Is MN really that middle class?

Or are you just trying to get traffic for your blog OP?

BTW, welcome to Mumsnet Smile

gallicgirl · 04/01/2011 22:02

Why is speaking more than one language middle class?

lifeinagoldfishbowl · 04/01/2011 22:03

And how is she your nanny yet works in a nursery?

backwardpossom · 04/01/2011 22:05

I speak 3 (plus a little French) and am about as far from middle class as it gets.

Anyway:

I'm not sure why this one is a sign of bad parenting:
*Mr Z, qui arrive juste à la fermeture de la crèche tout pile "je voulais profiter de mon jour de congé jusqu'à la dernière seconde"

Roughly translated (I think) as "Mr Z, who arrives just as the nursery is closing, says, "I wanted to enjoy every last second of my day off""

LoopyLoopsOfSparklyFairyLights · 04/01/2011 22:06

Brilliant. What's your problem with it? (unless you're one of these terrible parents)

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/01/2011 22:12

I loved it!

tethersend · 04/01/2011 22:15

It was tongue in cheek- In Britain, speaking French is more prevalent amongst the middle classes.

I didn't say speaking more than one language was middle class. I said assuming everyone on MN speaks French/speaking French was middle class. Unless you were just making the OP up in order to generate traffic for your blog, of course.

PDR · 04/01/2011 22:20

Very funny! Can't see the problem really :)

Hassled · 04/01/2011 22:23

I only clicked to find out what "chocked" meant. I'm none the wiser. Is it Australian ?

LoopyLoopsOfSparklyFairyLights · 04/01/2011 22:24

I'm assuming the OP is French (perhaps middle class too, she does employ a nanny) and therefore not so great at spelling in English.

tethersend · 04/01/2011 22:30

Oh yes, I think she's French. I think she wrote the blog. In French. She is the nanny.

LoopyLoopsOfSparklyFairyLights · 04/01/2011 22:37

Wouldn't she have bothered to figure out how to link properly in that case?

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 04/01/2011 22:40

Hassled, I think "chocked" = "shocked". Shock

tethersend · 04/01/2011 22:42

I doubt it.

tethersend · 04/01/2011 22:42

(that was to loopy)
