I'm home alone too. Am 41 weeks pregnant, in early labour too.

My partner is in hospital with swine flu and my best friend (acting as birth partner) is at a party (but 'on call'). I don't have any family.

I also spent my recent birthday and Christmas Day alone as DP was in hospital and I didn't want to infringe on friends' planned family days.

Am feeling very alone, and a bit scared. But trying to think of all the good changes to come for me in 2011 - it will definately be different to 2010 for me!

Its all about positive mental attitude...it's only another day!

Good Luck duke748!

Duke don't feel alone, I won't be the only one who thinks your New Year is already sounding exciting! Grin
Chuffed for you.

I am alone with the DC tonight (like most nights) but it is ok. Didn't want to go anywhere really.

I hope everyone who has had a difficult year as we have has a peaceful and restful time.

xxx

duke748, hope it's going ok, as someone else said, it sounds like your night may be quite exciting! Hope your partner is ok, too.

You must have other friends with kids. It's a bit late for this evening, but next year why not invite a couple of families round, bring kids and sleeping bags, get a takeaway or cook dinner, and have a great night, no babysitting required.

Not quite the same as the "adult-only" piss-ups pre-dcs, but a great New Year's Eve nevertheless.
