We have been snowed since late November with only three days respite a fortnight ago. The car is stuck on the main road at the bottom of the hill a mile away.

My children are revolting.

DD (7) is v v upset as she misses her dad (long story but basically she can't visit him atm and he refuses to visit her) - she is behaving atrociously and tried to run away yesterday to find him. In the dark and the snow, when it was -2 outside. DP had to spend an hour looking for her.

DS (5 months) has got a horrible cold, is teething, and having a growth spurt as well. He spends most of the time making a noise like a Very Pissed Off cat. My nipples and ears feel like they are going to drop off if I get bitten once more or hear any more fucking yowling. Nothing consoles him - not the sling, not the boingy chair, not the jumpy-doodle bouncey toy, not the buggy, not being cuddled, not calpol.

I have just got my first period since having DS. Deep joy. My mooncup doesn't seem to fit properly anymore

The bastard dog shat all over the carpet after eating the compost Angry. Managed to find an offcut to replace it and then the baby shat on the new bit. Clearly I am not meant to have a decent hygienic floor.

At least I have brandy...

Oh no taintedsnow I am not really cross, well, not with you anyway.

Just suffering from a sense of humour failure.

Maybe I should start a blog - Life on the Funny Farm perhaps? It'd be an endless tale of woe, house meetings, and dealings with geriatric sheep though.

Poor you. Sounds crap. Hope things get better soon

QueenOfFlamingEverything · 28/12/2010 22:08

Yes UnderTheRadar - revolting.

Tongue in cheek.

As in, 'the peasants are revolting'.

A play on words.

Apologies if you are not familiar with that well-known phrase.

I got the "revolting" reference lots of sympathy coming your way too.You do have a great way with words and I would read your blog.Glad your DD was found safe and sound which is clearly far more important than how she got out!

taintedsnow · 28/12/2010 22:15

Yes please to the blog! Xmas Grin

MsKLo · 28/12/2010 22:18

blog!

QueenOfFlamingEverything · 28/12/2010 22:33

MN blogs are down for maintainance or however you spell it.

You will have to wait.

It'll be miserable really good though. You can read all about the sheep and their regular pedicures [boak]

(Oh and DD got out because we live on a farm in the countryside over a mile from any roads - she has free access to our fields and has previously been trusted to roam a fair bit. This is now under review, much to her dismay)
