She is 16 months. And awake. Wide awake. I have already told her I'm telling Father Christmas. She laughed and said "Duck"!

We are now in the lounge, watching Four Weddings And A Funeral. Great.

Could you explain it to my 10 day old son as well -I mean how many babies feed at 0330 in the morningGrin ?

anothernewname09 · 21/12/2010 04:10

Haha. Lots of 10 day old ones!!

At least he is feeding, mine is running around bringing me things I haven't cleared up since last night. I'm currently sharing my sofa with the radio times, a side plate, a stacking toy and my lap top!!

I am confused why she does this, she sleeps all night, every night and then has one like this where she is awake from 2-6. Very strange!

My 3 week old DD is fast asleep [smug emoticon... not] She's hanging off my boob... and not letting off...

MrsSnaplegs · 21/12/2010 04:22

My DD1 now 5 used to wake every night until she was dry at night (3 1/2) then she slept through. Could it be that?

MrsSnaplegs · 21/12/2010 04:24

red yep think he is borderline asleep but every time I try to take him off he starts sucking again!

anothernewname09 · 21/12/2010 04:34

MrsSnaplegs. It's possible, she was very wet when she woke up. But she isn't tired at all, she is wide awake.

I think she probably does this about once a month. I'm not really complaining as she was a terrible sleeper, so it's lovely having her slept through pretty much every night. I'd just like to get to the bottom of this little issue!!

"I have already told her I'm telling Father Christmas. She laughed and said "Duck"!"

my dd2 is 2years and she has been waking up at silly times of the morning, this is the first one she has slept through and I am awake Xmas Hmm I have had a bad night, but it is always when I am awake she sleeps through and when I am really tired she wakes up.

seeker · 21/12/2010 06:50

Well, I was woken up by my flu-ridden 15 year old begging for a glass of water. It doeesn't get any better, I'm afraid!

onceamai · 21/12/2010 08:05

I'm with you seeker. Sent him up with a jug but listened to the cough all night. Turned the corner though, just weakly asked for a fried egg sandwich after being propped up on his pillows and had carvol drizzled round them!! He has box of tissues, laptop, HP book, Ipod and phone around him in a circle. Shouldn't laugh first food since last Wednesday - thank goodness.

seeker · 21/12/2010 08:50

And it's her birthday too! Sad

Lorelai · 21/12/2010 09:01

Funnily enough I was also awake at that time last night with 3 week old DD; wouldn't let me put her back in Moses basket for 2 hrs - do you think they all had a secret conspiracy?

MentalFloss · 21/12/2010 09:14

I had to sleep in my 14 year old DD's bed last night because she managed to completely freak herself out with her breathing (she has got asthma and a nasty cough at the moment)

Came in hysterically crying saying she had stopped breathing and everytime I tried to leave her she started crying....

It definitely doesn't get easier!

onceamai · 21/12/2010 19:08

Oh it does Mental Floss they stop hanging on to your pubes when you floss Grin. And they can tell you what's wrong. Give these girls some hope.
