DS is 3 frequently has his hands in his pants now that he is no longer wearing bodysuits with poppers and I must admit that its starting to worry me a little bit...

He says that it feels nice Hmm

SlightlySparkly I don't know whether to be horrified by what you just posted or pleased that my child is a hand in pant shover rather than a Grandmother Humper

At the moment, it definitely is a comfort thing - he'll do it when he's tired, when he's watching telly....

I think that I may have to start lugging him upstairs to wash hands every time - though I would spend half of my time with him either washing hands or treatening it

Oh this thread has had me laughing more than a lot that I've read recently, thanks again to everyone for sharing stories :)

peasant

she then went on to say (and i quote)

'i have a winky on my bottom and a red red red cherry'

i was Shock until i calmed down a bit and realised she talks about it to other kids at nursery and compares herself to little brother.

SlightlySparkly · 21/12/2010 12:26

marshmallow I am not horrified so please don't be on our behalf Xmas Smile. The grandma thing was a bit Shock but we've all recovered and I've told him 'no people' Grin I really think it's a perfectly normal right of passage and that 'hand washing' is misleading, at the very least. It's not dirty.

I know we will have to stop our little humper soon but I do have a distant and shameful memory of being about 5 and calling my mum into the bathroom because my 'front bottom' was sore. On further investigation it turned out that I had been rubbing it with a bar of Pears soap because I thought it would 'feel nice and slippery' Hmm. My mum was quite brisk at the time (probably hugely Blush and just said something like 'leave your bits alone dear'.

Could I have used more emoticons? Sorry

This reminds me of a funny moment with DS2
He like to check his willy regularly.
I told him if he kept fiddling it would fall off..
Skip a few weeks and we were out to lunch with my Mum who was showing the boys a photo of me when I was little..
DS2 'Mum was that when you were a little boy'
Me 'No,NO, I was a little girl'
DS2 'So was that picture take after your willy fell off then?'
That took a lot of explaining.

ceebeegeebies · 21/12/2010 12:39

Slight deviation from this thread but my DS1 (4.5) was comlaining that his willy hurt the other day 'because it was hard' Xmas Hmm Is this normal at this age??

Btw, he has also got a habit of fiddling with it at times of boredom/in front of the telly....bit like his dad really Xmas Grin

lorelilee · 21/12/2010 12:49

My DS (4) talks about his willy 'beeping' sometimes when it's a wee bit hard.

TwilaAndTinsel · 21/12/2010 12:51

DS was so fascinated with his willy in the bath that he almost drowned as an older baby.

His little face just kept getting closer and closer to it until it was submerged Xmas Shock

I will be prepared for this sort of thing if I have another boy but at the time I couldn't believe the daftness of it.

edam · 21/12/2010 12:57

ds discovered his in the bath when he was still of an age to wear nappies (so no other opportunities. He was fascinated. And used to stretch it to ridiculous lengths - it made my eyes water, I couldn't see how on earth this could be anything other than extremely painful. But apparently not! Grin

We now have the 'only in private' rule in this house although I can't claim he remembers all the time...

domeafavour · 21/12/2010 12:59

ok, Twilaandtinsel, that is the funniest!!!
my shoulders are shaking, trying to hold in the giggles at all of these!!

theevildead2 · 21/12/2010 13:00

Dh does this. He says it feels nice Hmm

Littlefish · 21/12/2010 15:47

I was talking to my dsis the other night. Her ds is 7 and has started noticing that his penis goes hard in the morning, making it difficult to aim properly into the toilet. The best explanation she has managed to come up with so far is "Oh yes ds, it's just your willy having a little stretch, the same as you do when you wake up".

I've told her that she needs to come up with something a bit better than that quite soon. Smile

electra · 21/12/2010 15:49

Well of course it feels nice. Sounds very normal to me - I really wouldn't let it worry you.

YuleTideD0G · 21/12/2010 15:59

DP and I were really laughing reading this thread

Is our ds the only one to push his back in?

He also hides stuff in it, as in pulls foreskin back puts a bead (or similar) on the end and then covers it back over

Lilka · 21/12/2010 16:20

I am almost crying with laughter
DS is 5 and he is starting to remember the 'only in private rule'. He did once ask me to have a feel of it because it felt nice, and i politely declined Xmas Grin

frazzle26 · 21/12/2010 18:43

When my DS was about 3 he was sat on the toilet having a wee. He somehow fell into the toilet and his willy got caught between the toilet and the toilet seat and he ripped the end of his foreskin :-( It makes my eyes water just to thinks about it. The poor little chap. He had to have it bandaged and he looked very sorry for himself!!

bigpants103 · 21/12/2010 19:11

My ds 4 is a big fidler whilst watching television. Stopped him for a bit though when he got it trapped in a dvd case!!!

Infact only this evening I caught him twisting his willy round a grape!!! Popped the grape straight in his mouth after of course!!Shock
