Well my fridge freezer has randomly decided to warm up, even though the motor is working, IT JUST ISN'T GETTING COLD ARGH!

Is it cold enough (about -5) to say frozen outside overnight? I dont want to lose my whole crimbo shop !

I keep my picnic chill box outside with Christmas food in it. It's fox-proof.

Rev084 · 20/12/2010 23:42

Good idea, careful though of cats or foxes or any other hungry animal in this weather.

cece · 20/12/2010 23:44

I defrosted my freezer during the last bout of snowy weather. Put all the frozen food in the garden in bags whilst I did it and it was fine.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/12/2010 23:45

we have done this before

also great for keeping wine cold

GetOrfMoiLand · 20/12/2010 23:46

Put it in the boot of the car - safe in there if you haven't got a lockable outsied space.

llbeanj · 20/12/2010 23:54

a one star ice box is -6, which should keep frozen food ok for up to a week.

Definitely agree about the boot of the car, my pepsi has frozen again !

Thruaglassdarkly · 21/12/2010 00:18

My freezer is -19 so... Very enterprising of you, tho you do run the risk of it defrosting if there's a sudden thaw. Now if you're based in Alaska...

Mmm. So it was fine overnight as far as animals go. Then my fuckwitted DH let the dogs out for a wee this morning, and guess what they went to Hmm
Ahh well, it was fun anyway. Time to head to comet methinks.
