sign their Christmas cards with "& bump". We all know your pregnant FFS!

OP posts:
SpringHeeledJack · 12/12/2010 16:19

I would be a bit peeved to receive a shop card from an unborn baby

it could at least go to the trouble of making one itself. Not like it has a lot else on, now, is it? just lounging about, growing, the odd kick

tsk

catinthehat2 · 12/12/2010 16:28

Write threads with titles that don't tell you anything about the subject of the thread? Xmas Grin

And I have to click on all the crappy boring ones because sometimes they are funny like this one.

HecTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 12/12/2010 16:56

My mother draws toilets on all her cards.

Stop moaning Grin

GordianKnot · 12/12/2010 16:57

Sometimes it's good to have a...

...leader into the thread trillian.

Especially if it looks like giving someone a tongue lashing...

...is the rude meaning rather than just a boring old argument

AngelZigzagsSparklyYuletideLog · 12/12/2010 17:03

Why hec?

I mean, why??

HecTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 12/12/2010 17:04

I have no idea.

she likes toilets.

And sewage works.

And used to take us for picnics in the cemetry when we were kids.

I never stood a chance of being normal...

cupcakebakerer · 12/12/2010 17:08

I must hold my hands up; have been putting 'from bump' to immediate family. Wouldn't put it on cards to friends. I feel slightly ashamed now.

AngelZigzagsSparklyYuletideLog · 12/12/2010 17:10

I've always 'enjoyed' having a read of gravestones in cemeteries hec, very grounding.

And I suppose someone has to be interested in sewage...Grin

She sounds awesome.

HecTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 12/12/2010 17:10

She's totally insane.

So yes Grin

BellaBearisWideAwake · 12/12/2010 17:11

I started a thread about alternatives to & bump cards

RevoltingPeasant · 12/12/2010 17:17

Is your mother Marcel Duchamp, Hec?

Maybe it's a postmodern statement...

trixie123 · 12/12/2010 17:30

i put it on a few cards to extended family who may not have heard the news yet but otherwise no, yuk.

Charleney · 14/12/2010 12:12

Everyone ive had an xmas card from this year has wrote that.. "To charleney, DP and bump" lol it makes me smile :)

kreecherlivesupstairs · 14/12/2010 12:42

Charleney, do they write the lol after it?
Simplest answer is not to send cards. We don't Grin

tinkertitonk · 14/12/2010 14:45

Give them a break. Maybe getting pregnant was difficult and this is their way of telling you some good news?

I think & bump is a step below people who sign the names of their pets too.

The xmas card from my mum is to us & bump, from them & dog....

tulpe · 14/12/2010 15:00

Not keen on "& bump" but I definitely cannot abide the "from dog, cat etc" in cards. Why does anyone want a christmas card from my dog??? It isn't cute. It is total naff-tastic :o
