My Dad just called me and told me my nan passed away this morning. I should feel grateful she had a long and happy life lasting until her eldest granddaughter was 26 but i feel so sad for her, and all the time she still should have left

My poor poor nanny Sad

so sorry Sad

She lives on in you - in all that she taught you, shown you and the love she had for you. Shed your tears and then remember her during her happy times - she will then never truly be gone. xx

That was really beautiful IAPJJLPJ

Thanks Jamielee, my dad was always my nans golden boy, my grandfather was very cruel to him as a child and i think my dad always thought my nan would be free for a while after my grandad died, and he thinks she has been cheated out of her freedom.

I'm very sorry for your loss redflag. :(

I remember when my nana passed away. She was 92 and a lot of people were saying to me that I should think of all the wonderful years I had with her, but it's difficult to understand that when the loss is so raw and new. You will see it though, and it will be a great comfort when you do.

I'm sure your nan knew how much you loved her. x

YANBU, and I'm evry sorry for your loss.

My nan passed away last year aged 98. She was refusing to go into hospital and when the GP called an ambulance she shut her eyes and went. I believe that she went by choice.

Cry away, losing anyone is hard, I think especially this time of year.
