I have found that I am on google and also on Wikipedia, apparently I cannot remov myself because the information is part of history- is there no way I can fight this or remove the info myself?

Maybe a little cheeky, but most ISPs will remove information straight away if you inform them that it is libellous, even if it can be defended as the truth. They will not risk a defamation claim. Go through all the pages with the offending information and send their ISP a message.

So that is one route, but not a very noble one.

Wikipedia can be edited yourself. The editors will probably reinstate the info if you just delete it, but you may be able to 'massage' the sentences into a more sympathetic message.
