I love Nigella.

For smug you want Delia with her royal "we" ing. And her anal little polythene bags. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I reckon she wraps Michael's nethers in polythene bags before she lets him into the boudoir.

Nigella has hips and a belly....which is brill.

Doigthebountyeater · 03/12/2010 11:41

I agree with bupcakes, how many women do you see actually enjoying food in the media compared to those who are trumpeting their diets and talking about their eating disorders. Nigella is a bit 'over similed' for my liking at times but she is pretty and looks the cmera in the eye saying 'I love grub and I'm not sorry' and I respect that. Also, her books are great.

katkit · 03/12/2010 11:42

watched it a few weeks ago, she was very smug about the fact that she keeps a chorizo in her 'larder'. get a grip love, it's just a sausage in a cupboard!

SeaTrek · 03/12/2010 11:54

I used to quite like her put after seeing a few episodes I just cannot stomach her anymore. She is marginally better than Sophie Dahl though - I couldn't even get through one episode of her cooking show!

harassedinhertinselpants · 03/12/2010 12:02

I quite like her! Although I do love the odd papped pic of her doing her shopping in Uggs and no makeup Xmas Grin.

I love that she actually eats and has cuves. She's the same age as Gillian McKeith apparently - I know who I'd rather look like!

I can't stand her on the telly, but everything I've made from her new book has turned out really well.
I did the brownies last weekend and they went down really well with everyone who tried them.

SantasENormaSnob · 03/12/2010 12:17

Yabvu

nigella is fabulous

BigZing · 03/12/2010 12:18

Nigella is a Goddess.

tigitigi · 03/12/2010 12:21

Why? does she make you feel inadequate? Just don't watch.

She is successful, has survived tragedy in her life, her recipes are fab and she has a good normal body image and relationship with food.

gregtheguineapig · 03/12/2010 12:21

I agree she is stunning and I LOVE her curves but it all just seems a bit fase. She is a real genuine beauty, no denying that.

PetitMew · 03/12/2010 12:25

I don't mind her all that much but she can be a bit OTT. But then again I think that's all part of why I watch. It's a bit of a lark.

BlitzenAndCupidsSleighDodger · 03/12/2010 12:26

arf @ 'It's just a sausage in a cupboard' Grin

pottonista · 03/12/2010 12:31

I followed the link for Posh Nosh and am now sniggering uncontrollably at 'Who keeps meat in the window? Meat isn't curtains!'

porcamiseria · 03/12/2010 12:33

she has gone beyond a joke now, cringe. can you imagine being one of her fake friends at the dinner bit? shame on them!

that said i did like the mexican lasagne!

SoupDragon · 03/12/2010 12:45

I love the way she loves food. I feel you can trust a cook like that.

SoupDragon · 03/12/2010 12:46

Snurking childishly at the sausage in a cupboard.

FanjoKazooie · 03/12/2010 13:15

I did snort out loud when she said (about her scones) that she didn't want everything to be 'fake and too perfect' whilst 300 tea lights twinkled behind her in soft focus.

Erm, you might want to have a chat with your production team then love.

I like her but wish that the program hadn't started to taste so intensely of itself, to coin a Nigella phrase.

She has got amazing and endlessly fascinating boobs though. I did find myself wondering where all the rolls of fat that should be on her back are until I realised , Ah, Spanx! Must get some for myself.

Notevenamouse · 03/12/2010 13:27

"fascinating boobs though" I agree I am transfixed, its the only reason i watch these days Xmas Grin

I love her-she unashamedly embraces her "womanliness", has a lovely face and curvaceous body, loves her food, is playful, smart and her recipes are easy to follow. Nigella rocks!

Notevenamouse · 03/12/2010 13:36

I do hate the bit with the fridge at the end. It was amusing in the beginning, now it just makes her look like she has a disorder.

trice · 03/12/2010 14:00

It's not real though is it? It is an entertainment. It isn't the middle of the night and that is not her fridge.

I can't bear the double adjective thing she has going. It sounds as though she has written her lines for literacy hour. Sometimes one adjective at a time is sufficient.

I like her though, she is amusing.

ppeatfruit · 03/12/2010 14:29

I like her but it's sad she has had to have the 'face' done. At least Delia has the strength not to obviously go under the knife for telly.

MrsGuyOfChristmasBorn · 03/12/2010 14:37

yanbu - just do it on behalf of all of usXmas Grin
