to drive 200 mile round trip with two kids tomorrow

Sister just called - is off on business trip at the weekend and been told she needs some clothes she has left near me. Asked if I can bring them to her. It is a 200 mile round trip (MWay most of the way from south west of London to North East of London but v rural near her and near me and we have 1 ft of snow on the ground here). I will have the two small dcs with me.

She has said not to go if the roads are bad and that if I do I should stay at hers for the night, have a good car. She has also said she can buy what she needs if necessary I just don't want her to spend the money. I also do not want to put the kids in danger

DHL it for £30or similar. Why would you do that trip? Next day courier them and let her pay.

No. Stay at home. her error, she foots the bill. She seems happy with this, so where is the problem?
Stay inside and drink cocoa.

Don't go. Better that your sister's bank balance suffer than your children.

It'll teach her not to leave clothes lying around

Don't bother, the M25 is crap- it will take hours and hours. Dh has not made it home for two nights travelling from South West London to Essex.

Oh don't go on the motorway around London with all this snow/ice!!!! I'd hesitate on a normal Friday, would definitely never,ever do it on a snow day.

If m25 is bad then won't go - not her fault as she is not leaving things lying around - she is based in two separate places - usually this type of thing is no hassle. Won't courier it as the most dangerous/ungritted bit of the drive is from my house to her place near mine. Feel really bad about it but guess it is the right call. Just wanted to check I was not being U by saying no, would if it was just me

Don't go.
Many of the motorways round London are suffering bad problems, and you could end up in a jam for 7 hours.
It's bonkers to think that you would do that because she left clothes somewhere, and she needs them! The petrol would cost as uch as a courier, anyway, and it's a miserbale way for your kids to spend the day - even without the possibility of skidding, being stranded in freezing weather on blocked roads..

That's a bonkers idea. If she's left some clothes near you then she can come and collect them if she's that bothered. I have dug one car out of the snow tonight and watched another slide helpless down the hill backward so I'm not enamoured by people who are driving when there is no real need

Definitely don't go. The cost of petrol would be around at least the cost of a courier. And driving when you don't need to would be daft,
