A little bit of history- I am technically classed as a teenage mum, although being 19 and very mature for my age I don't see it that way. I was diagnosed with psychosis 4 years ago but it has now cleared up, however it's triggered by high stress situations. DF has Bi-Polar disorder. I have now been diagnosed with PND and doctors are keeping a close eye on me due to my past history.
I was unaware that health visitors are meant to visit more than once, this is my 1st DC, didn't realise until the other mums at my NCT group were saying about the health visitors finally signing them off after 2 months of regular visits.I mentioned this to my doctors and they said it wasn't the correct proceedure either, they then contacted them. Still nothing.
Last time the health visitor came they rang the previous day and said that they'd be over at SOME time tommorrow and that I should wait in all day until they arrived. I was a bit shocked at that as I go one regular walks with DD to get her settled, and to get me back into shape.
As far as I was aware We are classed as a High Risk family, even though I seem to be coping alot better on these anti-d's is it not to much to ask for someone to check everything is ok?
