I really can't understand why you can take bottles made up but you can't take cartons of ready made (you can order them and collect them from boots after security. I am missing something??

Also baby food in a pouch is ok but only if it has a screw cap so you can taste it?? Is that right??

Totally confussed! AIBU there really isn't enough clear guidlines on the airport website....or am I being dim?

Feck me when we had to taste it I made DH. I dont do cow juice. Certainly not formula. DH nearly blew it across the room. He said it tasted "oily and nutty yet wrongly sweet".

Feck knows what breastmilk tastes like. (I should know, I had it for nearly 3 years apparently) burp

Do you now think your baby has chicken pox??

Because that is a WHOLE new debate and the last thread was pulled.

Bottom line for chicken pox you need to quaranteen. If you take a poxy child out in public you risk causing a pregnant woman to lose her baby. You don't want that on your conscience. There are also lots of people out there with lowered immunity, chicken pox is not a mild childhood disease. In some cases is can have catestrophic results.

If in doubt get to a gp and find out for sure.

Believe me you do not want to end up quaranteened in a hotel room abroad!

I wouldn't worry to much about chicken pox. He may get it he may not. If he gets it you will be unable to fly but your insurance should pay out. If he comes out with it before you fly you should take him to the dr to get a letter saying that he is fit to fly (obviously when he is which is about five day after the first spots come out) Sign of the spots can hang around a bit. He is only at nursery one day a week unless you are not going to go out anywhere you may not avoid it as even though it can be difficult to catch he could in theory pick it up anywhere.
