My parents and I have a family xmas tradition which involves driving around their town and pointing and laughing at all the chavtastic xmas lights that are put on display every year. We then decide which is the most gaudy best, and take lots of pictures.

my favourite bit of Xmas is driving down to my parents' house and seeing all the blingy houses as we approach. They live in Essex where they know how to do this stuff.

We have a particularly blingy festive house very close to us. Every year they seem to acquire a new set of lights to add to the spectacle. Can't wait until they put this year's up! We can see it from our back windows, no need even to go out to see it!

I am now tempted to start about 20 christmas threads in AIBU simply to piss off the UBERWANKY and miserable person who started this thread!

But isn't the term 'uberwanky' in itself, 'uberwanky' (mainly because it uses 'uber') .

Our Xmas tradition involves putting the kids to bed an hour earlier (It's dark. They can't tell the time. Mum 1, Kids 0) and getting pisht a bit merry.
