Dispute over injury in gym and trainer brings my child into his angry response!

I posted last week about an injury that has happened whilst training with a personal trainer. I have been unhappy with the trainers response and requested my money back.
I have had to chase him to get any response, when the response came I am still, 3 days later horrified and totally at a loss as to what to do.
He has sent an email denying the injury is anything to do with him.
He has listed my entire life circumstances and painted a picture of me as someone with more issues than you can shake a stick at.
That he has got it wrong on so many levels is quite bizarre.
I could go on about what he has said but the worse thing is him bringing my child into it.
In this email he has made 3 references to my child which to me is so beyond the realms of professionalism that it is untrue.
What should I do and is this acceptable?

As another poster has asked, does he think you have issues with childcare due to your decision regarding schooling and therefore think you are wriggling out of the fee? The fact that you have had to take your DS on one occasion may have caused his suspicions.

If childcare is not the issue. Could you not defer your sessions until your injury has recovered and see another trainer for the remaining 6 sessions?

No issues at all with childcare.
Judging by the email I have just recieved he is simply a very nasty piece of work. It is a shame that I ever met him.

Encouraging you to push through symptoms like tingling and numbness is irresponsible regardless of previous injuries. He sounds unprofessional or even untrained. Is he a member of a professional body? I would contact them and possibly as someone else said a personal injury solicitor.

Why he is writing to you about your children is beyond me (further evidence of his stupidity)please don't be engaged by this and focus on resolving the issue of the terrible advice he gave you and sorting your injury out.

Perhaps you could tell him you will not contact a solicitor if he refunds the money you are owed.

I'm sorry to say but I really think you should take some personal responsibility here and you should have used common sense.

I mean - get a doctor to check your arm before pushing yourself and stop if anything hurts.

I do think you should threaten him with solicitor to try to get any money owed back. Can you warn other people about the way he works? Name and shame in local papers?

Hope you can sort it out soon.

You have my sympathies. I have a screwed up knee and hip thanks to my personal trainer "pushing" me.

I als have never met a trainer who doesnt need to constantly see a physio/osteopath/chiropractor.

Absolute bloody snake oil!
