soft play this morning she was bouncing walking around the entire area of the sitting area of softplay with her 2 month old or so baby on her shoulder, speaking loudly about what they were going to do today... "we're going to go home, get you some milk, change your nappy, have a nap, daddy is going to do this and that, so and so is coming over later blah blah blah...."

i found her very annoying!! why do people (reminds me of people who like to talk about themselves as the third person) feel they have to be so vocal about their lives especially to a little baby???

maybe as i get older my tolerance levels are wearing sooo thin! waahhhh

biscuits what you're saying is different if you talk to yourself as we all have to speak loudly to get the attention of our children at certain times!!

anyway, i found it annoying end off! just wanted to put it out there... thanks for your comments! Grin

If she was doing it to fish for compliments about what an awesome mummy she was being then yeah - fume away.

Seen that one before - sat in a doctor's waiting room and subjected to a barrage of "YES YOU ARE GORGEOUS, LOOK AT EVERYONE LOOKING AT WHAT A LOVELY GORGEOUS BABY YOU ARE"... looks around for anyone making remotely close to eye contact, "OH SHE'S SUCH AN ADVANCED BABY SHE UNDERSTANDS ALL THE THINGS I TELL HER TO TRY TO MAKE SURE SHE'S GOT GOOD SELF ESTEEM"... and she went on like this for about an hour. The carpet in the surgery has never been so incredibly interesting before.

Talking, yep... public broadcasting on all known frequencies and channels... sod orf.

I talk to mine all the time especially when they are grumpy, perhaps she was trying to keep it happy for a while longer. Even when they have been a few weeks old mine have calmed when i've talked to them and to be fair there is very little to say to a young baby apart from what you are doing or seeing at the time. Yabu it may have been that or screaming wriggling baby,
