I went out with my brother tonight and this guy came up to us and offered my brother £200 "to spend the night with him". Obviously my brother said no but then he said he'd pay 50 for a blowjob round the corner. I took over at this point and told him to back off and we quickly left and went to a different bar. The guy had clearly had a few drinks but I was totally Shock at this, who just walks up to a random guy and offers him money for sex.

OP posts:
Snorbs · 20/11/2010 11:12

beebuzzer, does your brother often act like a violent thug?

MmeLindt · 20/11/2010 11:15

Does this happen to women all the time?

I mean, I have been chatted up but never offered money for sex.

My mum has been propositioned by a woman. She was drunk and not at all threatening so we all just laughed.

taintedpaint · 20/11/2010 11:17

I get the whole 'being lonely' thing (and yes, of course, we have all felt like that at one time or another), but in what realm is it okay to approach someone and offer them money for sex because you're lonely?

deleting · 20/11/2010 11:24

Mme lindt, it does happen. Has happened to me.
Not nice and I felt quite threatened actually, don't know why
Like this bloke he wouldn't go away either. Very unnerving.

reratio · 20/11/2010 11:25

LOL, at least you know his value should you ever have to sell him for sex.
In all seriousness this not normal in any way way shape or form, to go up and offer someone money for sex.

ZZZenAgain · 20/11/2010 11:26

I cannot undertand the bloke risking it, coming up to a man who is sitting at a table with a woman who could be his wife/girlfriend and offering him money for sex.

I was approached by a woman once (not for money) and I had no idea for a very very long time what was going on . I just didn't click that she was lesbian at all. In fact she had to come right out and spell it out to me after trying various appraoches for an hour or so

Mumcentreplus · 20/11/2010 11:26

Wow! I've never been offered money for sex...well not at random...I would actually be very angry if that happened to me..some choice words would have been said

what does "...well not at random..." mean there? lol

CrankyTwanky · 20/11/2010 11:35

I've been offered money for sex on a couple of occasions.

Only one time really bothered me-I was 16 and homeless at the time and clearly vunerable. I shouted "No I will not have sex with you for money, you pervert" really loudly. He was tres embarassed and ran away.Grin

MmeLindt · 20/11/2010 11:37

ZZzzen
The woman sat on the arm of Mum's armchair, swizzled Mum's G&T with her little finger while making suggestive comments and Mum did not click. Everyone else noticed though.

ZZZenAgain · 20/11/2010 11:39

when did your mum click ML or did you have to have a quiet word with her?

ENormaSnob · 20/11/2010 11:42

I have been offered lots of sex but never money.

ZZZenAgain · 20/11/2010 11:42

My BIL was offered money for my sister once when they were travelling (won't say where to be PC about it). I find that even worse than offering money directly to the person you want to have sex wtih tbh

Alouiseg · 20/11/2010 11:43

CrankyTwanky "16 and homeless" you poor thing :(

MmeLindt · 20/11/2010 11:54

ZZZen
Mum did not twig for ages, think that her friend had a word with her.

Mumcentreplus · 20/11/2010 12:02

Hahaha! (knew someone would ask)..many years ago I was walking with a friend, she lived close to a red-light area a guy pulled up and asked how much?..twas understandable Grin still gave him a mouthful though..

Ormirian · 20/11/2010 13:11

beebuzzer · 20/11/2010 13:15

Not that I knew of Orm, must be in certain parts of the country :)

ZZZenAgain · 20/11/2010 13:22

actually I've just remembered once when I was inthe south of France and aged about 21, very innocent, I was strolling about Nice in a sundress and a straw hat when this character in a red sportscar swished up beside me, slammed on the brakes, blocking my way and invited me to lunch.

He was not my type at all and the whole street had that closed down siesta look, shutters down, doors closed, no one about. He was asking me if I liked the town and then how long I was there for and if I wanted to stay. I was wondering how to get out of this when he started saying, he could help me with anything I needed - a flat, a job and so on. I fobbed him off saying how I would love to have lunch with him, where should we meet, where exactly and where would he be seating, I had to post something and I'd be there.

Then boy did I run. I wondered afterwards if he was a pimp? I really don't know.

Travelling through the Sinai once, our coach met up with a bunch of Bedouins. In a sort of pre-arranged 'joke' the coach driver managed to 'sell' one of the tourists to the Bedouins for a crate of coke. She was such an awful individual it seemed a good deal at the time.

Oh how we laughed, but I was young and silly at the time, in my defence.
