No I was joking about the tricked bit . He was paid a fee for the first one and it carried on as part of his BBC package, going up by whatever % the BBC increase wages as standard every year. Sir Terryness says he was not aware of it as it came as part of a package and the BBC confirm it has never been re-negociated or discussed. Since the hoo-haa he has donated it to CIN as far as I know, I know he donated a big chunk when the fuss was made.

Which, when you think about it, is more helpful anyway. Cos the rest of them waive their fees and the BBC save. If they accepted fees then donated them to CIN, the total would be much higher.
