not to go on girls night out?

A girls night away has been planned for this wkend. I originally agreed to go as I thought it was just my three close friends and I.
Now three extras are going, friends of theirs but not mine really now.

I was quite close to two of the extras up to about 2 yrs ago. However I feel they have really abandoned our friendship. One of them used to call to visit quite regularly, met a fella and now has nothing to do with me. She hasn't even seen my 15 month old baby :-(
My question: Is it U to pull out of night away because you don't like three of the girls on the night out!

Well if you really won't enjoy it, then don't go, but I think YABU with your reasons.
People's lives move in different directions sometimes, and this may be a good time to reconnect.
You haven't said anything that makes me think they've been awful to you.

Do they have children?

Well my 'friend' who lives in same town hasn't visited me for over 15 months. No none of them have children.

I wouldn't bother. But then the thought of a "girls night out" fills me with abject horror, mainly because I'm a one-on-one sort of socializer at the best of times, aka miserable.

And have you asked said friend why she hasn't visited you? Perhaps she has had some stuff going on?

Just thinking you might actually use this as a nice way to reconnect with your friends

I think you may have fun if you go. I have several friends, some of who i see reguarly and others who I see every few months who havent seen my children either- I have a good laugh with them and dont feel like 'mum to.....' when Im with them. Just take them for how they are- its hard when people settle down and have families, I know a couple of my friends always ring before they come round in case they are 'intruding' on family life!
