To be proud of my son

Ds (7) has social integration issues at school and has been the victim of sustained bullying for several years. This is easing off now.

Recently, another boy was being attacked and ds (very large for his age) waded in and pulled them all off and asked them if they had not learned anything from the way they had treated him.

He risked them turing on him to help someone who is not even his friend and he didn't hit them - he made them ashamed of what they were doing. I am so proud of him I could burst!

Yanbu to be proud of him, I would be proud too! What a lovely boy you are raising Grin

That is staggeringly mature. We could do with someone like him at United Nations level. Congratulations Grin

Goosey - YANB at all U!!! Your son sounds like a gem.

Good for him, a fine example to the others, and hopefully MADE an example of the others.

Brilliant.

He sounds lovely. Which means you probably are too Grin

Thanks - there have been times when I thought he would never quite "get" normal social interaction, but frankly I don't care anymore. If the others are normal and he is not, I want him to be as he is.

I honestly get all teary whenever I think of how wonderful he was.
