that the use of phrase "baby daddy" is driving me absolutely insane.

Im on another parenting site too and am part of an ante natal group as Im currently pregnant.

One woman continuously uses the term baby daddy when referring to her other half. This woman is apparantly turning 30 soon.

It is actually annoying me so much that I cant actually post on the thread anymore (is that ridiculous?) if it was here, I'd tell her to get a grip but the site is much more censored and frilly and I would probably be banned for life. I think it would be worth it though.

I really, really, really want to shout at her.

I am sure the lady the OP refers to is from an area of this country where crime rates are astronomically high, educational standards are far below par, and everyone shops in poundland and primark.

BarbieLovesKen · 12/11/2010 22:26

scottishmummy · 12/11/2010 22:29

i do see it namechecked on mn

tettoni · 12/11/2010 22:42

Got to say I agree with xxfriendlymum on this one. Plenty of people I know use baby father, baby mother - I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I think it came from African American English but is widely used in London by lots of different groups. Generally the less well to do though.

Boaked a lot more at DH/DP when I first starting lurking on here.

xxfriendlymum · 12/11/2010 22:47

ah at last someone who sees my side tettoni ..but its too late they moved to another thread...because of me Sad

tettoni · 12/11/2010 23:20

xxfriendlymum - I hope they didn't really leave because of you - bit playground isn't it? :(

Anyway, bit silly IMO to get so worked up about something so minor (I'm talking about the OP here), so yeah I'd say YABU.
