Ok so not life as we know it, but I'd like to get some opions on this, religious and otherwise.... I've recently read a book written by a doctor who works in resusitation unit at Southampton General Hospital about near death experiences. It was a really fascinating & mind opening read and I have since read a few more 'sciencey' based books on the subject written by doctors & academics. What are your views & have you ever had an experience to change your view?

I can vouch for that, I've thankfully not had a NDE, but have had several OOBE,

1 being a very traumatic dental hospital experience, where my wisdom tooth was removed with local anesthetic, when I should of been put out, I was later told that I passed out, yet I clearly remembered looking down on myself in the chair, whilst they sawed at my jaw & witnessed them panicking & saying a mistake was made in reading the Xray Hmm I also spotted a mousetrap on top of a very tall cabinet in the room - on coming round this was the first thing I asked about Confused the Dentist was visably shocked, there WAS a mouse trap on top of the cabinet - no way was that something I could of known unless I HAD experienced OOBE

They'll probably just think I'm nuts, or blame the Novocaine Grin

& no, surprisingly not freaky at all, I just remember feeling very calm, the horrendous pain had suddenly stopped, though it wasn't the first time I'd had this happen, experienced it a few times as a Kid too, funny though, as the thing I remember most about that experience, was being very puzzled as to why there was a mouse trap up there Confused
