I was trying on some blouses and jumpers in Primark in front of a mirror on the main shop floor - as I had seen many other people do before. I was with my baby who screams if taken into changing rooms - she prefers to see people milling about. A female security guard approached me and asked me to do my changing in the fitting room. I asked if you weren't allowed to change in the shop - because I've never been asked to do such a thing before. The guard said what I was wearing was too revealing and inappropriate. I was wearing a very demure knee length skirt and black vest top (with good supporting bra underneath). I said that I was wearing exactly what many women wear in the Summer and if she really wanted me to stop changing where i was she would have to get a manager to explain why what I was wearing was deemed inappropriate. She slunk off - somewhat astonished that I wouldn't do as she asked.
I was so appalled and insulted by this guard that I wrote a complaint to the manager. Was I BU?
