To think that "thank you" costs nothing?

I have agreed to bring DSD home with DDs on the week that she is at her Mums house. This is to save on ASC costs and her partner doesn't drive so he can't collect her from school as it's a 4 mile walk. DSDs Mum was very polite and grateful that I am doing it but her DP didn't say thanks when he collected her.

AIBU to be miffed?

Ansolutely! They should be greatful they are being saved all the bother, and that you are reliable and trustworthy.

It costs nothing to say Thank you, this person is showing a very bad example to his children.

She's not his child but surely as I'm saving them as a couple a LOT of money and him an 8 mile round trip a thanks would be appropriate? Thank you Lady.

No-one likes to feel used, a bit of appreciation goes a long way.

I'm a bit of a stickler for manners.
