I am guilty of perusing the DM website at work as I find it's good comedy value. I just clocked this "story"...

It's a fucking error, you morons. Are you making such a song and dance about the "trauma" of it to back up the claim for compensation that you'll be lodging soon? When you do get your payout, I suggest you put some of the cash towards getting a grip.

Whilst agreeing that this story is not worthy of a DM whinge, I would be pretty upset if I got this letter.

The kid was very ill and admitted to hospital, a few weeks or whatever later he had similar symptoms and the parents took him back to a&e. Presumably they were frightened by the earlier experience and just shot him up there.

I think I would do the same TBH.

Have no idea what the couple's clothes have to do with this though.

I suspect the DM trawls around for stories like this on a slow day, it probably got wind of the letters and dug about a bit til they found this family. A sweet little old lady would have done just as well.
