And sweetly smile and inform them that their firework display caused havoc in our house.

Ok I wouldn't actually do that. But I am p-d off.

Their display started at nine and lasted fifteen mins. Woke DD. I was fairly annoyed but thought fair enough. Silence for ten mins during which time I settled DD. Just as she was setting down the ruddy fireworks started again. Since then it's been about five mins on five mins off.

Seriously, how much ruddy money have they spent on fireworks?? And do they not consider that their neighbours might have young children or pets (I also have a trembling dog at my feet).

Sodding fireworks still going off now. Humph harumph.

giddypickle it used to be the same here. Bonfire night used to last for about 2 months. When I was a child I can even remember teenagers throwing bangers in the streets. Thank goodness the shops are much more responsible about the sale of fireworks now.
