AIBU in actually liking the bitchiness on MN?

First of all dont get me wrong, i understand some people come on here for support etc so thats fine. Im mainly talking about AIBU any way, youve got to expect to get shot down on here i think. I like watching/commenting on good old heated debates! Much more fun to watch than Awwwww bless you, you poor thing

Is it possible though that AIBU only exists to keep the nice puppies on other threads safe? Like a holding area for people with a short fuse or other ishoos.

I think Unruly could have the answer! Corral those who use the word "fuck" in all its glorious forms together in one horrid but reasonably well-punctuated place, so that the huns can hug to their hearts' content elsewhere. And have tickers.

I think it's pretty good therapy. I got flamed for a couple of pages on a thread yesterday and oddly, it really does make you pull yourself together and stop being so daft!

I like a good judgy bunfight too. Especially where you realize you're violently disagreeing with someone on one and giggling happily with them on another.

I can't see any point in stroking each other's egos-although plenty want just that. Much better to shake them up a bit and give them pause for thought!
