Tio think you at least learn to spell before you have your shop sign made?

I passed a Cafe this morning, which had on it, as the name, Breakfasts, lunch and tea's.

Why, just why?
I wanted to tell my friend to stop the car so I could go in and tell them.

Why would you not at least check this?

Dunelm were advertising 'canvas's' recently.I did point it out to the lady on the till, but she just said 'oh'.

The council here advertised 'free taster session's' at the pool recently too.The advert ran for weeks with no correction.I'd lost the will to mention it after the Dunelm incident.

The local bicycle shop near me has a banner outside the shop drumming up Christmas sales:

RESERVE YOU'RE BIKE FOR JUST £10.

I really want to buy a large indelible pen and correct it.

There are two shops locally that annoy me:

Paparatzzi - sells clothes

Pheonix Computers

I also can't stand spelling mistakes on restaurant menu's - local golf club had three different spellings for caesar salad on the same A4 menu - me and a cousin had a right old laugh about it!

I'm not excellent at spelling but usually manage to get things right most of the time!

There's a shop near me with a fancy sign that includes 'bespoke chair's and sofa's'

And there used to be a take-away in the city centre that had on it's overhead sign 'wide range of pasta and Itlian dishes'

Even if the shop owner can't spell or has a poor knowledge of grammar surely someone at the company making these probably expensive signs should have?

And I know it's not quite the same but I did once go to a country show where a woman was running a display in the main arena involving ferrets. They were running along drainpipes on the ground and doing clever ferret stuff while she provided the commentary. She drew our attention to one particular ferret who had been brought to her rescue centre 'completely emanicapated'

My DM and me got the giggles imagining the furry creature campaigning for ferret rights.

There's a chinese restaurant in my town that has a fancy sign above the door which proclaims it is a 'chinese restuarant' I can't go in.

Also, when I was in John Lewis last week I noticed a proper printed sign, one of the ones telling you what's on each floor. Apparently the Chritmas shop was in the basement. Shame on you JL.

Gawd, talk about schoolgirl errors!

'completely emancipated' and 'My DM and I'

Oh the irony! Blush
