Again, on any thread on Mumsnet.

Parent and Child - clever marketing ploy by supermarkets.

Disabled Spaces - nesscary adjustment to allow the disabled a bit of extra help towards living a full life.

That is all.

yes stewiegriffinsmum but those people can park in either the the parent and child spaces or the disabled spaces whereas 'just' parents can't use the (all empty) disabled spaces.
I just found it strange that despite having quite a big carpark, there were only 4 parent and child spaces when clearly a large proportion of customers are gonna have babies/toddlers

I'm not saying mothercare shouldn't have disabled spaces!! Was just surprised by the relative numbers given the likely clientele

Yanbu, although setting fire to them might be alittle ott Grin. As far as i am concerned although i could do with the extra space a disabled person needs the extra space so their need is much more important.

The only thing i hate is when someone who is clearly not disabled (no badge) and have no children park in the P&T space. i Was in asda the other day and a man was parked in the P&T space was just as above. He got a ticket though so thought it was funny. That will serve him right. he he

yeah there are others shops there so that must be the reason, makes sense. I've been put off mothercare a bit by reading stuff on MN but still love looking at the baby clothes!

YANBU (although please don't actually set anyone on fire) - DS is 10 months, it is tricky getting him in and out of his car seat/getting the buggy in and out of the car in a normal car parking space, but hardly impossible.

anyway, at our local carpark the P&C spaces are normally full.
