Because quite honestly if eating a biscuit before you got out of bed stopped you throwing up all day or if you were able to keep down all the healthy food YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T HAVE IT!!!!

YANBU, I had hyperemesis for the whole thing and people used to bug the life out of me. I just used to run off to be sick to avoid the conversation.

Bit unreasonable to say if the trick works you don't have morning sickness. Some people feel sick but mildly so a biccie in the morning does the trick. They still feel sick, just not as sick as you.

I was sick as a dog for 16 weeks. In the end the doc suggested I tried drinking a can of coke (after trying all the usual suspects and a cocktail of drugs so I didn't puke on my wedding day - not shot gun, just to clarify!) and the sugar/caffiene hit did wonders. I still felt sick but I at least had the energy to run to the loo!

Hope you feel better soon and that you find something that makes you feel a bit perkier!

Tainted paint, you don't need to moan about it for people to comment, I worked in an open plan office and entertained hundreds of people several times a day as I ran for the loos mouthwash in hand! I got big very quickly (twins) so apparently it was even funnier as the as the running turned into high speed waddling!! God bless my team there was usually a wee cup of tea waiting on my desk when I got back.

Was sick all the way through with both pg about 2x daily on tubes, buses, platforms, cars, work, you know the score. Weighed less upon having both dc than I did before pg. But I didn't get all and sundry telling me morning sickness cures... Would have been quite grateful, have to presume they are trying to be kind.

I think I've been really lucky so far as the worst for me has been a bit of nausea / dizziness if I don't eat (as in eat all the time)! Also I've been a bit more travel sick which is completely out of character for me.

FindingMymOOOOOOOOjo - I'm not the only one?! The only time I have been sick is when brushing my teeth in the mornings. Fine in the evening but can't manage it without vomming in the mornings. I wondered if I was going a bit mad. Weird thing is that it has only just started at 15 weeks - surely now is when I should be feeling better?!

I think generally being given advice when it hasn't been asked for is a bit rude, even if people are only trying to help. Add a bit of tiredness / nausea / hormones to the mix and I can see it could lead to violence!! Grin

Very sympathetic here - was sick three or four times a day with DD (used sandwich bags to catch sick when vomiting on the bus on the way to work.) Hardly ever ate lunch because just going in the kitchen sent me running for the bathroom...

Do you know what works? When one day it just stops! And you might still feel sick, but no more actual sick. That day RULES, and it is coming I promise.

A friend was hospitalised with hyperemis twice, after her DS was born they realised she'd actually had appendicitis flaring up on and off!
