Aibu to think this is inappropriate?

Lines included
' don't have to eat greens'
' have parties when I want'

Can't remember the rest. Typing one handed & grumping while feeding dd3.

But am fed up of the crap shown between cbbc progs.

Well when I wass little I used to read all sorts of things for kids which were stuffed with fantsies about not doing what you should...characters like HOrrid Henry are popular for a good reson...kids love naughtiness...YABU because even tiny kids know its not real!

pintyblud · 25/10/2010 18:51

Just sound s like a fun rebellious song. I'd have to see it to have an opinion.

4andnotout · 25/10/2010 18:54

Wasn't it what you would do if your parents werent there? Personally I thought it was a harmless song.

Giddyup · 25/10/2010 19:35

I would be pretty concerned at my parenting skills if DS was influenced by a funny silly song on Kids T.V!

DaydreamDolly · 25/10/2010 19:40

YANBU I think it is giving the wrong message - I don't think I (or you) would be worried that it would all of a sudden make our children disrespectful and 'naughty' but I do agree that it isn't appropriate.
Whilst we're on the subject, I hate all the american programmes, Hannah Montana etc, they call each other idiots and morons and I would hate for DD to start calling people that - as lets face it some children know no different and would gladly mimic the characters on TV shows.

nymphadora · 25/10/2010 19:40

Ok then IABU!

Just fed up of the crap they put on as links on cbbc.
Lots of people do object to Tracy Beaker & Horrid Henry and they don't bother me

If it's the song I'm thinking about, it was being sung by a dog - if my DCs were taking Hacker/Dodge as role models I'd be a bit concerned.
It was also specifically a fantasy about the naughty things you'd get up to if your parents left you at home alone (which they never would because you are watching children's programmes on the BBC, not The X Factor/Hollyoaks, and therefore you have very protective parents).
