To think that the 'all about me' forms from nursery are way too nosey?

We've had two of these now. Questions like favourite colour & do you have any pets could be a talking point for the children. But other questions such as list the people living in your house, what are their jobs just seem OTT.

I just wonder if it is a tool to judge children/parents by, AIBU? I can remember my mother fuming because she thought a piece of primary homework to complete a family tree (DOB, DOD, occupation) was nosey......

Yeah I always thought so to and did my best to keep things vague.

Felt like I was being judged.

Guess it is only a matter of time before they ask how many units of alchol does your mum have a day and how long does she spend on MN!

At least at this age you can do some light editing or supply some additional commentary ("no, he isn't a big game hunter, but they have just watched an exciting documentary together")

Better start bracing yourselves now for the primary years, which bring travelling bear and essays on what you did last weekend.
