I think the weirdest thing ds has taken with him is a pineapple.

DS, 4 in Dec, last night woke me at 1am because he couldn't find his sleeping sunglasses. Yes, he will go to sleep wearing sunglasses.

The night before last there was a huge meltdown about a pencil. It is a half sized HB and it is the only one he wants to tuck behind his ear at bedtime. He has a 4 metre square room crammed with toys - I had fun finding that one.

The biggest problem is books for him. I have had to hold a sleeping DS in one arm while making a hole for him in the pile of books with the other so that the duvet can at least get involved. The record we have found on his bed (pre bedtime trying to use reason) was - no word of a lie or exaggeration - 201 books. DS insisted on counting (and we didn't think he could count that high).

When I became pregnant I didn't realise bedtime could be so interesting.

Smile DD is opposite & most nights will not tolerate ANYTHING on the bed at all apart from one pillow & duvet. Though strangely and very occasionally she will insist on teddy - though she will then wake up at some point & eject him too. She does occasionally want to sleep in a fav dress [hgrin]
