to keep my (ground) coffee in the fridge?

Given how many coffee snobs there are on MN (what a revealing thread!), where should I be keeping my coffee? I currently have it in the fridge as I read somewhere (a food supplement?!) that it keeps it fresher, whereas my parents disagree and keep it at room temperature.

AIBU to stick to keeping mine in the fridge?

Interesting, am going to try that, see if it tastes better.

Door of the fridge where it falls out and spills all over the kitchen floor if hubby yoinks the butter out of the fridge too quickly.

Doesn't last long anyway.

On a more malevolent note - my new coffee persecutor has an auto-off function after 2 hours and it's doing my head in!

I keep mine in a jar in the cupboard - it's labelled Nescafe if anyone needs to find it!

Two hours empty! Does that not stew the coffee?

Never bother with fridging - don't you use it in 10 days anyway. Have vintage tin so would look stupid in fridge.
