doesn't it drive you nuts, that one??
the only time i have ever had a lie in (since DS was born) was last week on the one day when I was supposed to get him to school for 8 am, and he didn't wake me up like he ALWAYS does at 5.23am.

still, I did get a sleep in so I'm not complaining!!

Tis infuriating. Children also have an inbuilt sense of 'lie in' day and wake up really early.

My Ds2 and DS3 decided to have a very loud conversation the other day at 6.30 am, as to who could wee for the longest time. I believe DS2 with 21 seconds was the winner, as I was woken by the sound of them counting loudly 'one mississippi, two mississippi' etc

Also, why is I I have to go in and wake DD every school morning at 6.45am, but at the weekend she's up and bouncing around at 6.10am without fail?!

I think parenthood just buggers up your ability to sleep completely. Even when the little ones do sleep through now, I still wake up 3 times a night myself. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever feel fully awake again!
