Breast feeding vs formula feeding
SAHM vs WOHM
Religion vs Secular

Why oh why do so many people feel the need to be so judgey.

BTW I dont expect anyone to reply, I just wanted to get that off my chest

Couldn't agree more, I don't give a monkeys what anyone else does, and I am always taken aback when I get the odd person having an opinion or asking about what I chose to do with my body/dc etc.

because AIBU wouldn't exist otherwise Grin and then how would I spend my time while DS is napping (can't MN when he is awake cos he bashes the keyboard)

pagwatch · 13/10/2010 15:28

because some people need to validate their own choices by trashing other peoples.

It is very often based in being defensive about what they have chosen.

But it is shit

gaelicsheep · 13/10/2010 15:29

It's not always about being judgey on an individual level though. The point is that many choices are not real choices because of the attitude of society. Some people like to discuss ways of changing that. Others (including me sometimes) interpret those discussions as personal criticism when the topic is a sensitive one for them.

But these people seem to be on all the threads and its quite personal in that it denegrates the other persons choice in a quite nasty way.

I think some topics are best avoided as they are seriously emotive!

Sometimes I ask questions because I genuinely want to know the answer. I know I am perceived as being judgy but I actually want to understand, and surely understanding leads to less judginess? (Is that even a word?) I find myself arguing for WOHMs on threads all the time and I am a SAHM, I FF but will support the arguments for BF, I just love having a argument debate.
