Mrsd I thought of you and your lovely Billie when I saw the mag spoiler in a shop. x

thefirstmrsDeVere · 12/10/2010 11:50

Thank you Giraffe It is kind of you to tell me.
So many bereaved parents I know have been kicked in the guts by this storyline. Because of losing a child that age or in that way or who looks like him or because like me they share the same name.

But unlike how bereaved parents are portrayed in the soaps (as described by brightlight) we are NOT all crazed loons. Its not like we now hate EE for ever and ever for daring to have this storyline. But do expect a few seemingly illogical comments rants over the weeks Smile

I have an odd fondness for the daytime soap Doctors. They have a few recurring themes, mental illness, elderly sexuality, overbearing parents and of course bereaved parents. We are always depicted as totally off our nuts. Forever hallucinating, stealing babies and wrapping ourselves in clim film (ok I made that last one up).

I really hope EE does this better. Max had a few good scenes when he lost his son but I agree with bright there is far to much of the agression. But I suppose sitting in a daze infront of This Morning would make boring tv.

syrupfairy · 12/10/2010 11:56

whose billy?

lizziemun · 12/10/2010 12:50

Bianca younger brother.

Although why it surprised anyone when at the end of Monday episode your saw Billie being 'encouraged' to drink a bottle of vodka by his mates.

They showed Max turning away when they were putting Billie's body in the ambulance.
to be fair to the writers, Max wasn't in it that much last night so not much chance to refer to Bradley.

(Now that was a sad soap death)

Theincrediblesulk1 · 12/10/2010 18:48
