we've never been, we're desperate for a break... booked 3 nights (weekend) at elvedan forest.

babysitting, kids clubs, brunch, magic show etc booked also...

i'm having butlins flashbacks as to when i was a child!!!

YANBU. We used to go every year with my brother and his lot but combination of school holidays and too many children = more bedrooms (that they don't sleep in!) so we've been priced out. We could just go ourselves but it's not the same without a group.

yanbu. Hoildays are fantastic. Enjoy it.

I love going to CP, the DC's think it's great and they are happy I am happy !

we book ours a year in advance as soon as we get back. It means we save loads of Money and also get free insurance and £25 sports vouchers :)

We book ours within a month of leaving too. They guarantee their lowest price if you do. We've got a 4 bed Exec lodge for less than £600 this time because of booking so early!!

We're going to Elveden in December too lisa but we're the first week so we'll be coming home as you arrive

Just booked Sherwood forest for w/e of 17th Dec. Am really looking forward to it. Booked Santa's workshop and a Christmas Carriage ride. Looking forward to going to the outdoor pool and water rapids in the dark. Love it.

I've hear Longleat is very hilly. Sherwood is our next closest

Whinfell is also very hilly. Very difficult if you are going up a hill on a bike pulling two toddlers and a bag of wet swimming gear in the trailer!

right, i am now super duper excited! thanks for all your posts ladies, i was a bit nervous about how it would be as we've only really done independant type breaks iykwim mostly abroad which as a family of 4 getting pricier... plus dc's need more stimulation and us more relaxation... i hope we find balance sounds like we will! lol

I love Center Parcs. We are going next March as the DS's birthday present (their choice).

We are going to the Elveden CP the 29th of Nov for a week - I got the booking pack today and the Christmas things look great fun.

This is the first time we have gone this late in the year, we normally go in March or May.

We nearly booked that date Juneybean! Promise not to scare the reindeeers

YABU because I loathe it, kids loved it but I really, really loathed it.

Where exactly are you planning on having a lovely meal with DH???
