Well am I. Find that I want to learn to drive just so that I can drive one of the Eddie Stobart lorries Grin. Its such an interesting programme, what lovely looking lorries.

One of the spotters nearly got his rocks off when sat in one of the lorries Grin on last weeks programme.

I was once a card carrying paid up member of the spotters club Blush

Still would be but couldn't afford the £10 yearly membership. Also objected to them no longer wearing shirts and ties.

I've just watched four solid hours of documentaries about liners. I can equal you in geekiness! :o

My dear dad was a trucker for many years. Happily spent my school holidays in the passenger seat of his artic, munching on crisp and Irn Bru, dropping stuff off in such glamorous locations as Bradford, Avonmouth and Felixstowe. Happy times :)
Loving this programme.

BrightLightBrightLight it's on at 8pm on a Friday night on Channel 5 but I imagine they repeat it in the week too.

noblegiraffe · 09/10/2010 10:56

I thought the lorries didn't have the names on any more?

TheBountyMuncher · 09/10/2010 11:08

It's on now- nearly finished though I think, DS has turned over now Sad
I put it on for him, but found myself glued to it.

I was all sad for the new truck that had to go and get dirty.

pigletmania · 09/10/2010 13:25

I know and it got tipped almost horizontally. I think that they still have the names on, its like a tradition that is part of the heritage of ES.

I sky-plussed it, intending to watch it before DH noticed. Forgot, he then saw it on the planner and, as predicted, pissed himself laughing. I'm now too self-conscious to watch it.

pigletmania · 09/10/2010 14:08

Did you watch it last week clam, your dh would have found it even more funny, as the Eddie Stobart lorry spotters were on Grin
