The weekend of the 16th is Star Trek weekend on Channel 4. So AIBU to want to lock myself in the bedroom with plenty of beer and takeaway menus (with a telly of course)
All the 10 movies are being shown and this will be a real Trekkie feast

I dont ask for much

hmmm..Sounds interesting...I will bring some popcorn for Wrath of Khan Grin

So long as you are happy for her to have a weekend of freeness then its all good cyborg..

YANBU - everyone needs a weekend off once in a while.

kickassangel · 07/10/2010 21:12

really, it depends on how you normally split all the daily/weekly chores. so long as it works out reasonably even, no problem. BUT do fumigate the room after - a weekend watching tv & eating take-away = smelly room.

DW is a veggie
we eat a lot of chickpeas, beans, lentils etc

sometimes when we wake up the bedroom smells like a farmyard

You only need half the weekend off, only the even numbered films are any good...

IMoveTheStars · 07/10/2010 21:24

thanks for the warning! Grin

Jareth,

You've just reminded me about one of my favorite films ever...

Labyrinth is awesome.

"Ludo friend!"

Cyborg,
DW gets a weekend off too - sorted (BTW, reminds me, I'm owed approximately 27 days off now, need to speak to DH about that... Hmm)

DH is also a trekkie and a (an?) SF fan, in fact he is currently watching "Dr Who - The Five Doctors" (25th Anniversary Edition) while I am on MN - perfect for both of us! Grin

what is dw's attitude? would she like to be there with you?

if so, i'm afraid you may have to record them all & watch one each eve once the kids are in bed.
