"Fairness means giving people what they deserve"

...according to David Cameron. Apparently the people who don't deserve much are single parents, SAHMs who haven't married their partner, people who rely on housing benefit to live near their family in London... Y'know, the really bad, evil people.

AIBU to be thinking 'what exactly does David Cameron deserve? And how best can we give it to him?'

Bit bemused by the silly sausages coming to look at "yet another CB thread" then posting to moan about it.

Ignore button is your friend Wink

ShirleyKnot · 06/10/2010 12:46

This one is ok though because it's more about curses on Dave than actual benefits. Of which there are too many threads, but this one is OK.

becstarlitsea · 06/10/2010 12:48
Grin

And as a disclaimer this is NOT a CB thread. This is a silly thread for those who are annoyed by David Cameron and his pronouncements. Doesn't matter if you're annoyed about CB, plans to shut libraries, or just all gammon faces in general.

x post ShirleyKnot. Bit flushed with my nonsense being 'anointed' Grin

Can we ask MN to change the thread title to "Bad Presents for Dave"? Heh heh Grin

I'd like Dave to get chronic trapped wind. He would have to drink lots of prune juice in the morning to help the vile tummy cramps then he'd guff his way through parliament every morning. Everyone would snigger about him.

becstarlitsea · 06/10/2010 13:01

I've requested a thread title change - thanks for the idea!

But I've just thought, it doesn't have to be all about Dave.

After all he?s said everyone should get what they deserve not just him.

A pox upon all their houses - any curses on any public figure who has incensed you are welcome here... I shall buy those black candles and blessed be.

Yes but by everyone, he means us. Not him. He'll be fine, the hock-faced tosser.

becstarlitsea · 06/10/2010 13:15

He won't be fine... not once I get this spleen of toad onto a rolling boil...

why is he so shiny?

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 06/10/2010 13:23

Why is it when politicians use the word "US" they really mean "YOU" ?????????

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 13:24

I ponder this often.

Shifty people usually sweat, so it's probably a thin veil of perspiration that makes him look so shiny.

Why hasn't Samantha told him about the wonders of Estee Lauder DoubleWear oil-free foundation? He needs to know. or just stop being so shifty and it'll sort itself out.

ShirleyKnot · 06/10/2010 13:24

I think he's been laminated

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 13:25

Hobnobs I hate that too. That "we're in this together/in the same boat" shit. Do they think that we are stupid? Does anyone ever fall for this schtick?

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 13:25

Actually laughing at laminated Grin

MaggieWasAce · 06/10/2010 23:09

Colditz and Cupcakesandbunting - elected politicians decide who deserves what.

Some people contribute and some people consume. It's time the Government listened a bit more to the former and a little less to the latter.

MoralDefective · 06/10/2010 23:13

Maggie used to be ace........you wank .....

MaggieWasAce · 06/10/2010 23:17

A personal attack from a leftie - shock, horror.

Why not attack my position/argument/opinion, instead of me?

expatinscotland · 06/10/2010 23:19

Maggie was ace. Now's she's a dithering, dollaly shadow who soon won't know who the hell she is and whose daughter is a racist and whose son is a racist and a criminal.

Does she deserve it? Probably deserves worse, but there you go.

MoralDefective · 06/10/2010 23:28

The fall of the Roman Empire......Maggies like have brought it on us....

expatinscotland · 06/10/2010 23:29

There are probably going to be street parties when that old gal carks it.

DH will join in.

FIL certainly will.

MaggieWasAce · 07/10/2010 00:19

I'd be happy to join a street party when she dies - to celebrate what she did for this country.

ItsGraceAgain · 07/10/2010 01:37

"Fairness means giving people what they deserve" - eh? What a load of bollocks. I shall divide this cake fairly into one humungous slice (for me, natch) and lots of tiny ones, coz I deserve more than you. And that's fair, coz I said so. Hmm

Oooh ... the fairness I feel Currant-Eye Dave deserves:
His laminate to melt under the lights [loving that, SK!]
A minor hip injury that makes him mince on the platform.
A major, catastrophic breakdown: preferably occurring during one of his empty speeches; preferably including deranged, megalomanic rantings; preferably soon.

I shall sleep well tonight :) Thanks for this thread!

maktaitai · 07/10/2010 01:58

And there you go, I thought Eton was a good school. Did they never study the parable of the prodigal son? Clearly only the parable of the talents. I always hated that parable.

Listen more to the contributors? This from residents of the country with one of the lowest corporate tax rates in Western Europe.

expatinscotland · 07/10/2010 08:56

'I'd be happy to join a street party when she dies - to celebrate what she did for this country.'

Party of one, then.
