Thongs visible over jeans

AIBU to reckon that anyone bending down and exposing their thongs over the top of their jeans should be forced to stay indoors.

Honestly, 3 thongs I've seen today, peeking out over the tops of jeans. It's revolting. Buy a belt or put some nice big knickers on, there's a good girl.

I wear big knickers with jeans but M&S thong type things with work trousers otherwise it is VPL galore.

How do you wear decent pants with wool trousers? It is one of the questions I would pay good money to have answered.

As an aside, I love Wilkos. Fantastic for household stuff.

mayorquimby · 05/10/2010 14:11

depends on their figure.

TiggyD · 05/10/2010 15:21

Anybody ever play thong snooker?

When you see a red thong you get 1 point,
2 points for yellow,
3 for green,
4 for (intentionally) brown,
5 for blue,
6 for pink,
7 for black.
Minus 4 points for white thongs.

See how many points you can score in a day.

zingzillachinchilla · 05/10/2010 15:41

lol at Tiggy (intentionally) brown

I know you are well known on MN re. your encouragement of going commando under jeans but...I just don't get it really. I'll cut to the chase: does it not irritate your flaps? I do need to know this because I agree re. shorty pants under skinny jeans so usually end up wearing a thong with them and thongs are wrong.

Many thanks in advance.

YANBU
I feel the same about see through footless tights worn as trousers and wrongly sized bras with the 4 boob effect.

GetOrfMoiLand · 05/10/2010 16:42

Grin Olifin

Nah, no chafing or ill effects from no knicker wearing here.

But that is jeans only. Would not recommend under wool trousers. Asides from the itching, imagine your foofy would get a bit fluffy.

I used to do this... about 5 years ago when it was new and different. I'm over it now, although I still wear thongs, just INSIDE my clothes. When old ladies commented, I would reply with the words "clean and paid for", which usually did the trick. lf you find thongs uncomfortable or unhygenic, you probably aren't the target market for them! I agree re: the tramp stamps, mind you. Yuck!

Wanderingsheep · 05/10/2010 18:56

I was at the bus station once and there was a girl sat in front of me with her thong showing. A lad that she was with ran up behind her and pulled it up, as far as he could, to give her a wedgie!

Talker2010 · 05/10/2010 19:12

I am another command fan

Never seen the point of a thong

nagoo · 05/10/2010 20:13

ROFL @ arse antler tattoo Grin

MissBeehiving · 05/10/2010 20:52

Cupcakes - tramp stamps are never tasteful or beautiful - we just all thought they were when we were 18 and pretending to be rebellious.

And GOML - your and you blardy commando mission. You did promise that you didn't try on jeans like that - that's still the case isn't it ???

cupcakesandbunting · 05/10/2010 20:56

Well, I like mine. I know what people expect to see when I say I have a back piece done and they don't expect a very well drawn and intricate henna design. I had mine done to cover some rank stretch marks that I got when I put a lot of weight on years ago. I agonised over it for months and kept tweaking the design until it was perfect. I love mine but it doesn't stop me from wrinkling my nose at the tacky tribal/chinese writing ones that seem to be de rigeur with certain ladies Grin

bumpsnowjustplump · 05/10/2010 21:02

ok what is an arse antler tattoo and a tramp stamp? Are they not the same thing?

MissBeehiving · 05/10/2010 21:11

What is it then, oh tasteful one? Grin And I agree about the writing ones. It would worry me that the tattooist might have had an off day and instead of getting a deep thought provoking statement, he'd inscribe something like "two for the price of one"
