DS's love Horrible Histories - we did one of th Edinburgh Bus tours in the summer..........with one of the Audio's available done by the horrible histories bloke - it was very gruesome - DS1 LOVED it.

(I hated it but felt I had to listen to it just incase anything freaked him out)

We saw some questionable stuff on Sorry I've Got No Head (CBBC) the other day. We like Horrible Histories, but Tracy Beaker is banned.

costanza I have fired off an email to the BBC, I am glad I am not the only one who noticed!

I also turned this off, and Horrible Histories, as I didn't want to answer questions about witches ('mummy, what's hanging, mummy what's stoning'?) and the way they were treated, however much it all seems 'interesting' to eight year olds (mine are a bit younger, so I'm prepared to accept that it's an age thing). CBBC is too much farting, 'hilarious' jokes about picking noses etc, and gruesome things, I'm guessing my girls (five and seven) are not the target audience, but where are the programmes for them?
