Schools, teachers, formula feeding, whatever the subject it's great to watch. Like being in the playground all over again!

Amazinf BF. I find the same with Guido Fawkes Tory blog. I'm a bit of a champagne socialist myself, though that means further to the left of Clegg these days. But Guido postsers/followers are so, so, so funny.

I'll ready pretty much any of them, whatever the day because they just degenerate, in a totally different way to Mumsnet, but are abs hysterical. They're more like reading Viz and Private Eye together.

If you're into Current afairs/politics/bun fights I thoroughly recommend it.

Goblinchild · 01/10/2010 19:11

I enjoy it too, however I can fail to stifle the desire to be flippant on occasion.

stillbumbling · 01/10/2010 19:13

Nice to know I'm not alone.

Apart from right here, right now.

On a thread I've probably killed.

scottishmummy · 01/10/2010 19:44

Pixie you went looking for a fight!

Fantastic.

Now your'e what makes Mumsent Musmnet.

stillbumbling · 01/10/2010 19:59

Still, you just used me.

stillbumbling · 01/10/2010 20:00

Which is quite mean and selfish.

Why are people on Mumsnet so mean and selfish?

jameelaq · 01/10/2010 20:02

loopyloops · 02/10/2010 00:49

me? Confused

loopyloops · 02/10/2010 00:54

Umm, before I go to bed, could you tell me if a) that was to me, b) I've missed the point entirely or c) you have internet Tourettes?

What have I done?

SacharissaCripslock · 02/10/2010 01:32

loopy, it's because you used "no probs"

jameelaq HATES that phrase, there's a thread in AIBU about it. Grin

I don't thinks she meant to call you a wanker seriously though. Wink

petisa · 02/10/2010 01:38

love the supersoaker thread - despite being told no no no! over and over OP kept insisting everyone would LOVE her "boisterous" ds to turn up with his massive supersoaker. oh the mirth..

Summerbird73 · 02/10/2010 20:23

anyone see the chicken pox thread - jesus that had me ignoring DS for a good hour Blush

actually that one started as a bunfight and then got all weird as a troll was outed. on the subject - does anyone else love it when a troll is uncovered?

SecretNutellaFix · 02/10/2010 20:35

sometimes they provide a welcome distraction with me feeling like one of the crowd who shouted "fight, fight" from the edges in the playground.Smile

Other times I watch in horror as it gets really nasty and vile and people get badly affected by it, such as the thread summerbird just mentioned. I don't enjoy those at all, it makes me feel dirty.

Summerbird73 · 02/10/2010 20:42

just jumped on there to say that as a disclaimer (ie before i get flamed) i didnt particularly enjoy that last thread as nutella said it got quite nasty and vile. I felt quite freaked out by it all. Hmm

mumbar · 02/10/2010 20:48

I am freaked out by the thread too summerbird Sad. Its one of those situations where the thread was educating but vile and now theres bereaved parents affected and a possible troll (altho I'm still unsure if she is) and everyone is in limbo. Very sad when many of the 'bunfight' threads are funny. Supersoaker one springs to mind Grin
